Privacy Policy

askCrixy is operated by Ananvix from India. When this page says "we" or "us" it means askCrixy. Contact: info@ananvix.com.

We collect only what we need to operate the product:

• Account — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, Google profile name, and profile picture (if you have one). We do not receive your Google password.
• Chat content — every question you ask the agent and every response it returns is stored so you can revisit the conversation. Linked to your account.
• Community contributions — articles you publish, comments you leave, and reactions you add. Public by design.
• Device & log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer URL, and rough geolocation (country/city). Used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.
• Cookies — see §6 below.

• Authentication, credits, and session management.
• Providing the agent & community features you actively used.
• Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse.
• Aggregate analytics to understand what features people use and improve the product.
• Serving relevant ads (see §5). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

askCrixy is built on a small set of well-known providers. Each one has its own privacy policy; links below.

• Google (Sign-in) — identity & OAuth. Google Privacy Policy
• Google AdSense — ad serving on the free tier of the site. Cookies used for frequency capping and (where you consent) personalised ads.
• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement (page views, navigation flow, device/browser breakdown). Loaded only after you accept all cookies in our consent banner. We do not send Google any personal data — no email, no chat content, no comment text. Sliced views are limited to plan tier (Free / Pro / Admin) so we can understand which audience uses which features.
• Google Gemini — the language model powering the agent. Your question and the SQL result are sent to Gemini to generate the answer. Gemini does not train on API traffic.
• Coolify (self-hosted infra) — app + database hosting. Data stays under our control.

The free tier of askCrixy is supported by ads. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Depending on your consent choice:

• "Accept all" — AdSense may show personalised ads based on your interests inferred from browsing activity. Google sets its standard AdSense cookies.
• "Essential only" — ads still load, but they are non-personalised (context-based only). No interest-based profiling.

You can change your consent choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies for askCrixy — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

The cookies askCrixy sets directly:

• ac_access, ac_refresh — your sign-in session. Required to be signed in.
• crixy-consent — remembers your cookie-consent choice. Expires after 365 days.

When you accept all cookies, Google Analytics also sets cookies named _ga and _ga_KRS8PPJKXD to distinguish unique visitors. They expire after 2 years and never carry your identity — only an anonymous client ID.

Google AdSense also sets its own cookies; see Google's cookie documentation.

• Account — for as long as your account exists.
• Chats — until you delete them, or 18 months after last activity on a deleted account.
• Community content — stays public unless you unpublish it. On account deletion, your name is removed and the content is attributed to "a former user".
• Server logs — 90 days.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and the EU/UK's GDPR, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data.
• Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to personalised ads (choose "Essential only").
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe we've mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@ananvix.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

askCrixy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this page as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site. The "Updated" date at the top reflects the last revision.
